Anti-Ozone Wax
Anti-ozone waxes are wax mixtures of microcrystalline wax and paraffin wax as well as other additives, offering protection against ozone attack and any type of weather influences, to extend the tyres and rubber products working life. Unprotected elastomers will absorb ozone and form ozonides by the attack of double bonds on the surface layer. Under tension the absorption becomes continuous, which caused surface cracks, and when the strain exceeds a critical value crack grow continuously at a constant rate. The rate of crack growth is proportional to the ozone concentration. It will have best performance if working with chemical anti-oxidant. Widely used for tyres and rubber industries, or partially replace microcrystalline wax for blending wax.
